It all started in New York City during monthly “Secret Santa-esque” thong exchange parties with close friends. Curious onlookers were clearly amused at the sight of giddy women tearing apart gift bags full of tissue-wrapped undies and holding impromptu lingerie fashion shows (fully clothed, of course). And Emily Richardson was in the middle of it all, ooohing and aaahing over flirty low rider thongs and sassy mesh boyshorts while mentally adding many of these items to her growing "must have" list. Little did she know that this "list," along with the thrill and satisfaction of finding that perfect set of skivvies, would one day evolve into Hong Kong's Flaunt Boutique.

Emily grew up in Hong Kong, attended university and worked in the United States, and moved back to further her career in hotel sales and marketing. After countless excursions across Hong Kong in search of comfortable, well-fitting underwear that wouldn’t unravel after a few washes, the lack of quality lingerie - and quality customer service – became increasingly frustrating. She grew tired of waiting for her annual trip back to the U.S. to stock up on bras and panties, and let’s face it, buying in bulk and thinking about long term underwear needs can really zap the fun and spontaneity out of lingerie shopping.

And then it clicked.

It was time to pursue her passion for demi bras, seamless bikinis and low rise boy shorts. Emily quit her job, immersed herself in all things lingerie and became certified in bra fitting. She opened Flaunt Boutique in February 2011 to provide women in Hong Kong what she hasn’t been able to find all these years - a personalized and luxurious lingerie shopping experience.
